How much could I sell my autographed Mickey Mantle poster for?
I have had an autographed Mickey Mantle yankees greatest features, professional drawing 20 x 30 poster for 10 years. I even have the certificate of authentication for it. The dealer I bought it from 10 years ago has went out of business. I couldn’t find anything on the internet about it because the art work is rare. Do you know how much this might sell for? Thanks in advance.
It’s really hard to guess what a piece of unusual sports memorabilia might sell for. I would hold on to it for a while if I were you though. When the economy is down people aren’t going to be willing to spend as much for something like that.
If you had an autographed baseball, you could easily check out what they have sold for in the past because they are pretty common compared to your poster.
The condition of the poster is going to be a big factor in determining its value as well.
I found an autographed photo online with a certificate of authentication that is priced at about $1400, and another black and white photo for $700. You should try selling your poster for around $1500, and negotiate from there. You should be able to get at least $1000 if it’s in mint condition.
Talk to some memorabilia dealers too. See what they’ll offer you for it, but don’t sell to them. There going to try to get for at least a few hundred dollars less than they think they can sell it for. You want to sell it to a collector not a dealer.

Revolucion!: Cuban Poster Art $19.94 The poster was the popular art form in Cuba following the Cuban Revolution, when the government sponsored some 10,000 public posters on a fascinating range of cultural, social, and political themes. Revoluci n , produced with unprecedented access to Cuban national archives, assembles nearly 150 of these powerful but little–seen works of popular art. From the 1960s through the 1980s, the posters rallied the Cuban people to the huge task of building a new society, promoting massive sugar harvests and national literacy campaigns; opposing the U.S. war in Vietnam; celebrating films, music, dance, and baseball with a unique graphic wit and exuberant colorful style. With an introduction illuminating the rich social and artistic history of the posters, and rare biographical information on the artists themselves, this striking volume offers a window into the story of Cuba–and a truly revolutionary chapter in graphic design. |

Poster Boy: The War of Art $17.73 His cut and slash mash-ups of subway platform billboards only exist in New York City, but Poster Boy’s artful and funny appropriations of advertising have gotten him attention the world over. Poster Boy tweaks corporate copy, replacing it with incisive and playful puns and turns of phrase rich with innuendo and political punch. Beautiful models turn ghastly and iconic spokespeople become the mouthpieces for Poster Boy’s ideas. "Poster Boy: The War of Art" collects his best work yet. |

One minute, sixteen-year-old Zoey Redbird is a normal teenager dealing with everyday high school stress: her cute boyfriend Heath, the school’s star quarterback who suddenly seems more interested in partying than playing ball; her nosy frenemy Kayla, who’s way too concerned with how things are going with Heath; her uber-tough geometry test tomorrow. The next, she’s Marked as a fledgling vampyre, forcing her to leave her ordinary life behind and join the House of Night, a boarding school where she will train to become an adult vampyre. That is, if she makes it through the Change—and not all of those who are Marked do. It sucks to begin a new life, especially away from her friends, and on top of that, Zoey is no average fledgling. She has been chosen as special by the vampyre Goddess, Nyx. Zoey discovers she has amazing powers, but along with her powers come bloodlust and an unfortunate ability to Imprint with Heath, who just doesn’t know how to take “no” for an answer. To add to her stress, she is not the only fledgling at the House of Night with special powers: when she discovers that the leader of the Dark Daughters, the school’s most elite group, is misusing her Goddess-given gifts, Zoey must look deep within herself for the courage to embrace her destiny—with a little help from her new vampyre friends. |

The famous Seabiscuit, for example, liked to pal around with a Montana cow pony named Pumpkin, a little dog named Pocatell, and a spider monkey named JoJo. In fact, for centuries, horse-behavior experts have known that animal companionship is the best way to soothe an unhappy or agitated horse. And animal friends not only keep a horse calm and healthy, such friendships can even help out-of-sorts racehorses and sport horses perform better. Now "Horses & Friends Poster Book" offers 30 irresistible poster-size photos of some of the happiest friendships in the animal kingdom. Horses with ponies. Horses with miniature donkeys. Horses with goats. Horses with dogs. Horses with cats. Even horses with chickens and ducks. Like "The Horse Breeds Poster Book" and the "Dream Horses" poster book, the photographs are the stars in "Horses & Friends." All 30 candid photos are in glorious full-color. They capture horses and their animal companions in one-of-a-kind moments that are sweet, funny, and tender. These are pictures even the casual horse lover will find impossible to resist. Fun facts will turn readers into experts. They’ll learn, for instance, that little Shetland ponies are, pound for pound, the strongest horses of all. And that Belgian draft horses once carried knights into battle. And that Quarter Horses can outrace Thoroughbreds over short distances. We’re confident this book will be a hit with kids. Why? Because we called in young horse lovers to serve as consultants on this project. The Queer Movie Poster Book $3.95 Films about ‘the love that dare not speak its name’ have been around for decades, but only recently have they formed an out-and-proud genre. In the first overview of its kind, "The Queer Movie Poster Book" traces the history of gay film through its posters and promotional art. Sometimes alluring, sometimes lurid, often coded, the posters speak volumes about the social mores of the times and the struggle for queer identity. Historian Jenni Olson includes over 150 posters — from Wallace Beery drag follies to the latest indy productions — which showcase the varied spectrum of queer cinema. Fascinating sidebars discuss dykesploitation films (typically made by straight men for straight men), gay porn (an overlooked means to social liberation in its own right), and films with transgender themes (studded with pulled-from-the-headlines movies). From the earnest to the campy, "The Queer Movie Poster Book" constitutes a vibrant feast of popular art and a valuable document of gay film culture. |

Life on a French Poster $16 "Life on a French Poster" is an evocative, informative read for anyone who can relate to escaping to a better life to find that even paradise has its pitfalls. It is about assimilating new cultures (Franglais-American in this case); Breathing new life into a 500-year old French priory (Does one save the torchis? or not?); Developing new skills (like buying property as a foreigner and ironing giant bedcovers); Having a laugh over dinner with visitors from around the world (that’s table d’hotes); and Becoming a village sex symbol (by accident via the "love window.") "Life on a French Poster" details aspects of one significant year in the lives of author Patricia Pearson and her husband Dan. It is true account of their restoration of Le Prieure, a 16th century priory in the remote tourist village of Biron, Southwest France. Pearson’s skillful description of the transformation of this rambling stone manoir into a luxury bed & breakfast is part adventure, part romance and part travelogue. For years she made appearances at church suppers and rodeos, giving pep talks about how normal and happy she was. All the while she was learning to live with what she later described as "my grievous, irrevocable flaw," and the paradox that being extraordinary was the only way to be ordinary. |

The Accountability Experience Poster $11.85 Accountability is a hot issue in business as organizations face the toughest recession in years. Yet the notion of accountability is confused with punishment, fault, blame and guilt. Galindo argues the only true accountability is "personal accountability" and the only way to achieve it is to take responsibility for the outcomes of your choices, behaviors and actions. This training program outlines a 3-step process to accountability: – Claiming ownership of a task (Responsibility) – Taking personal action to complete the task (Self Empowerment) – Answering for the Outcome (Accountability) Clear Agreement is the concept that ties the three steps of the process together and allows managers and employees (using the clear agreement form) to create clear agreements around key assignments and track progress more effectively. The comprehensive "Facilitator’s Guide" package includes case studies and role play exercises, scripts for a 1-day workshop (also broken out into 7 modules), PowerPoint slide deck, lecture content, models and frameworks, action planning and instructions for using the assessment tool. |

The effect of his work wasn’t only noticeable in public spaces, but artists like Henri Toulouse-Lautrec also consequently adopted the medium and developed its visual language further. As a lithographer, printer, designer, painter, decorator and illustrator, Jules Cheret was a prominent figure in Parisian art and literary circles at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.
